Our Standard Outdoor Hutch

Our outdoor hutches are a very generous 5 feet (152cm) long by 2 feet (61cm) wide and 20 inches (51cm) high so there is plenty of room for your bunny to hop skip and jump around.  The outdoor area of the hutch is a heavy gauge 25mm square mesh so that cats, dogs and other unfriendly animals can´t stick their paws, jaws or other appendages into the cage to snag your bunny.  The bedroom of the outdoor hutch - made of thick ply - is a very generous 2 feet (61cm) square so that your bunny has plenty of space to play around in when it is too wet and cold for him to be outside.

Be aware that your cage needs to be painted with exterior paint to waterproof it, and also be aware that if you live in a mosquito infested area you should cover the cage with fly netting or shade cloth to keep these pesky little critters away from your bunny as they carry both the Calicivirus and the  myxomatosis virus which will kill your bunny.

The lid is full length and hinged for ease of feeding, cleaning and having easy and quick access to your bunny. It also has a prop to keep it open so that you don't have to hold the lid whilst accessing your bunnies and It is finished with a delux handle.

Suggested Optional  Extras.   A resting platform  for your bunny to jump up and down from.   Waterproof lining on the bedroom floor of the cage to help preserve it and make it easier to clean and sanitise.   A door opening with slide cover on the play area end of the cage so that you can place a run outside the cage and allow your bunny extra exercising space.
